Christmas 2006

Our 3rd Christmas in Dubai. This year we celebrated with Frankie, Eden, Lee and Anna at the Britt household. Eden the chef for the day made a fantastic feast for us .... the pork crackling was to die for. AND the profiteroles.... OMG..... YUMMY!!!!

Beware.... the pictures below were taken at the start of the festive night, hence everyone was looking normal and very sober. :o)
















Steve, Lee and Eden definitely provided the entertainment. And after many Vodka Jelly shots, many glasses of champagne and numerous mixes of alcohol things progressively got silly.... as usual. Antics included Eden trying to pretend he was superman, Steve breaking Eden's stereo and the boys looking like very ugly women.... hahahah!

More visitors in Town

Leah and Brendan stopped over in Dubai on the way back from Egypt. Hopefully they had a great trip, unfortunately Dubai rained non stop for the week they were here..... a first in sunny Dubai.

When the Palfreys came for a visit

Mark, Sally, Lewis and Robin came to visit us in Dubai for the first time and judging by the pictures they seemed to have had a great time. The weather was just perfect, so there was a lot time spent by the pool and at Wild Wadi. Mark and Lewis managed to set a new Palfrey record of going down the Jumeriah Screamer 4 times in the same day.

Robin even gave it her 2 thumbs up

We have been getting loads of updates of Stefanie (my brother's baby).... who has become my parent's pride and joy... replacing me! Stefanie will be 6months old soon and not only is she an extremelly happy baby, she's also gorgeous. A Banh family trait.... hehehe

HERE COMES THE RAIN

Dubai finally had some rain and it didn't come in drizzles, more like a downpour. Unused to so much rain in one day, there were obviously lots of flooding around. Below is a picture of one of the back roads we encountered on the way home. It's just behind the compound where we live.

Dinner at The Meat Company

For the last evening, we all went to the Souk Madinat to have a look at the shops and to have dinner at the Meat Company. Claire even managed to squeeze in some last minute shopping to fill her suitcase.


















Emily and Ben were exhausted by the end of the night, they practically passed out in their strollers after their meal.
