HERE COMES THE RAIN

Dubai finally had some rain and it didn't come in drizzles, more like a downpour. Unused to so much rain in one day, there were obviously lots of flooding around. Below is a picture of one of the back roads we encountered on the way home. It's just behind the compound where we live.

Dinner at The Meat Company

For the last evening, we all went to the Souk Madinat to have a look at the shops and to have dinner at the Meat Company. Claire even managed to squeeze in some last minute shopping to fill her suitcase.


















Emily and Ben were exhausted by the end of the night, they practically passed out in their strollers after their meal.

FOG IN DUBAI

Dubai experienced foggy conditions a while back and from the pictures the sights were amazing. The fogs happened while Brenda, Bob and Claire were visiting dubai. Unfortunately, Bob couldn't see it cause he couldn't wake up early enough ..... hehehehehe.

"EELLOO CAMBELS"

We took Emily and Ben to see the camels at Nad Al Sheba, a training area for racing camels. The kids loved it and could not stop waving and shouting out "HELLO CAMELS", while Ben's version was "EELLO CAMBELS".

The children weren't the only ones having fun, Brenda, Bob and Claire were able to also go see the sights and just have a relaxing holiday. There were trips on the Dubai sightseeing bus, a day full of shopping, a luxurious lunch at the Burj Al Arab hotel and even many warm evenings in with the bbq on the go.

We had visitors from the UK in town. They were Steve's Uncle Bob, Aunt Brenda, Cousin Claire and her two adorable children Emily (3yrs) and Ben (almost 2yrs).










We all had a wonderful week, Emily and Ben especially as they spent most of their time at the Lake's pool and park or at the beach soaking up the warm weather.
